As part of the combined M&E fit out solution within the new Portable Centres offices, 2Teck’s Communication Division designed, supplied and installed a new high speed Cat6 structured cabling solution to support the various IT, voice, audio visual & CCTV devices. Internet connectivity was provided using twin fibre broadband connections secured using a Cisco Meraki security appliance with network distribution provided with 1Gb POE network switches. New, large format high definition LED display screens have been installed into the meeting room and a new high specification Epson laser printer and HP A1 plotter now provide an efficient printing solution with low ongoing costs. The existing Paxton Net2 access control system and intruder alarm were modified to to provide easy, yet controlled access during the day whilst providing a high level of security when unoccupied and the fire alarm system was extended due to the change in life safety requirements caused by building construction changes.
