2Teck’s Communication division were responsible for installing the new IT network, fire & intruder alarms, access control and CCTV systems. The new IT network was designed to provide maximum flexibility, resilience and connectivity speed which was delivered using star-wired fibre optic links to the tenant offices and then onwards via Cat6 copper cabling distribution to the floor box locations. All fully performance Fluke tested with a 25 year manufacturer backed warranty.

The existing System Sensor fire alarm was extended and modified to meet the BS5839-1 standards to suit the new office layout. With new smoke detection, sounders and mechanical interfaces installed, adaptions were also required to integrate the fire alarm with the new and existing building access control systems to ensure safe exit in the event of an alarm.

New Hikvision CCTV cameras, together with the extended intruder alarm and Paxton access control systems, ensured that the security of the new office area was maintained allowing access to authorised people only. Automated door release systems and monitored key fob access added to the ease of use of these integrated systems.
